Yannick Glemarec has been involved in the development and/or management of over 1,000 multilateral climate and development projects and over 100 multi-partner climate and development trust funds in over 140 countries throughout his career.
He has been holding executive functions for the past 20 years, from UNDP Deputy Executive Coordinator for the Global Environment Facility in 2003 to Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund from April 2019 April 2023.
He holds a PhD from the University of Paris in Environment, and two Master Degrees in Hydrology and in Business Administration. He has authored and co-authored over 40 United Nations publications and peer reviewed articles on climate finance and environmental management.
